Angie Urban, Executive Director, of New Visions for Lawrence County  will be talking about “Building Community in Lawrence County” -sharing ways that coordinated efforts are beginning to see revitalization take foot in our area and New Visions’ role in it.

After graduating from Penn State University, completing an internship at Disney World, and serving with
a year of AmeriCorps NCCC, Angie first moved to this area and into her parent’s basement- intending to
be here for a year. Tops. And then anywhere but here. However, she fell in love with this community, in
love with a boy from Mercer, and now calls this home! Angie serves now as the Executive Director of New Visions, a nonprofit organization aimed at helping initiate, support, and sustain revitalization efforts in Lawrence County. She is helping to reimagine the opportunities for growth in our area. Angie
has found a role in our community that blends the imagination of Disney and the service of AmeriCorps,
to make our community a better place to live.
