Loading Events

Lisa Shaw, Lynne Winter, and Evelyne Eddy from New Horizons Treatment Center will give a brief overview of the agency and what it offers and a brief biopsychosocial on addiction and its impacts. They will then hold a panel discussion on the services and answer questions from club members.

Lisa M. Shaw, MA, LPC, CAADC, ICAADC, MAC Qualifications: I earned a BA in Psychology at Youngstown State University and a MA in counseling, specializing in Marriage and Family Psychology from Geneva College in 2007. I became a Nationally Certified Counselor (#224025) in 2008 and a Licensed Practical Counselor (#PC005463) in Pennsylvania in 2009. Additionally, I am a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (#205994) with the Pennsylvania Certification Board, as well as the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium (#7447). Finally, I am also a Master Addictions Counselor (#509365) recognized by the National Certification Commission for Addiction Professionals. Areas of Expertise: I have a specialty in addictions counseling, am certified to provide services that are related to the addicted population, and have specialized knowledge of the individual, familial, and environmental system surrounding that individual.

Lynne Winter, MA, LPC, CAADC, ICAADC Qualifications: I earned a BA in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Penn State University in 2006. I earned an MA in Community Counseling with a concentration in Addictions Counseling from Slippery Rock University in 2011. I became a National Certified Counselor (#282874) in 2012 and a Licensed Professional Counselor (#PC07899) in 2015. Additionally, I am a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (#9708) through the Pennsylvania Certification Board. Areas of Expertise: I have several years of professional experience providing addictions counseling to adults, adolescents, and families. I specialize in working with the co-occurring mental health and forensic populations and am competent and comfortable providing treatment to individuals with complex and persistent issues.

Evelyn J. Eddy, MA, CADC, ICADC, MAC Qualifications: I earned a BA in Psychology from Youngstown State University in August 1993 and a MA in Forensic Psychology from Argosy University in February 2013. I am a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and hold a Certificate of Competency in Gambling with the Pennsylvania Certification Board (#6838) as well as with the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium (#100242). Additionally, I am also recognized by the National Certification Commission for Addiction Professionals as a Master Addiction Counselor (#509168). Areas of Expertise: I have a specialty in addictions counseling and I am certified to provide services that are related to the addicted population. In addition, I have specialized education in forensic psychology and experience working with this population.
