The Mission of Cray Youth and Family Services Inc.  is to “make life better for kids”. Since 1984, Cray has been providing services to at risk youth and families that range from preventative to intensive in nature. Cray’s mentoring program (formerly Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lawrence County) has matched nearly 700 children with a mentor since 1996. It is the only child serving program at Cray that does not receive state or federal funding, and receives operating support from The United Way, private foundations, and individuals and businesses in our community. In 2018, the mentoring program disaffiliated from Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and is now known as 1-2-1 Mentoring. Program Director, Allisyn Wolfe, will be speaking about the reasons for the change, what the mentoring program accomplishes, and how the community can get involved. She will also provide a brief overview of the other services Cray provides in Lawrence County.

The Cray 1-2-1 Mentoring Program is a recipient of the annual Rotary Grants and Givings Program.
